The Turkish Horsebow is one of the most refined composite bow designs in the history of archery. Ottoman archers developed their craft to an exceptional level, producing bows of extraordinary precision and power that were used both in warfare and in the highly competitive tradition of Ottoman flight shooting.

Key Features

  • Historically inspired design from the Turkish tradition
  • Compact and powerful reflexed profile
  • Optimized for thumb draw technique
  • Handcrafted laminated construction for durability
  • Suitable for mounted archery and traditional field shooting

The Lineage of the Bow

Compact and highly efficient, the Turkish horsebow was historically known for exceptional arrow speed and precision. The deeply reflexed siyahs store enormous energy, allowing the bow to propel arrows at remarkable velocity even from a short draw.

Ottoman archery was both a martial discipline and a form of art. The bowyers who created these instruments were considered master craftsmen, and the archers who trained with them spent years developing their technique.

The Ottoman archer did not merely shoot. He performed a discipline with centuries of refinement behind every draw.

My philosophy is rooted in the balance of respect. Respect for the natural wood, respect for the ancient geometry of the horse bow, and respect for the modern archer's need for consistency. Every limb is shaped by hand, every riser is polished until the soul of the wood reveals itself."
