Refund & Cancellation Policy
Explorer Academy operates under strict structural guidelines. Because our programs require precise logistical preparation and our equipment is largely custom-crafted, our refund policies reflect the commitment required for participation.
1. Physical Residencies & Expeditions
Booking a residency (e.g., Muráň, Okinawa, Mongolia) secures your place in a strictly limited cohort. Due to the high logistical demands and limited capacity (4–12 participants) of environmental modules, cancellations severely impact cohort architecture.
Cancellation Windows:
- More than 90 days before the start date: 100% refund (minus administrative/payment processing fees).
- 60 to 89 days before the start date: 50% refund.
- Less than 60 days before the start date: No refund.
If Explorer Academy must cancel an expedition due to extreme environmental hazards or operational instability, a full refund or transfer to a future cohort will be provided.
2. Standard E-Shop Equipment
In accordance with EU consumer protection laws, you have the right to withdraw from the purchase of standard, non-customized physical goods within 14 days of receiving the item without giving any reason.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision via email. The goods must be returned in their original, unused condition. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
3. Custom Bows & Bespoke Equipment
Explorer Adventures bows are specialized, custom-manufactured items built to your specific requirements.
Important Exemption: The 14-day EU right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalized. Once production has commenced on a custom bow, the order cannot be canceled, and no refunds will be issued.
