Why Apply & Philosophy
A Jan Franko Academy expedition is explicitly designed to function as a journey beyond conventional tourism. Preparation forms a vital prerequisite, ensuring our presence actively respects internal monastic ecosystems, protects pristine high-altitude environments, and sustains local community structures.
Itinerary Scope
Expect high fortress-monasteries (Dzongs), sacred cliffside trails, archery dynamic trials, valley festivals, and direct immersion inside traditional village structures.
Physical Baselines
Moderate physical health is required. Practitioners must be completely comfortable walking multiple kilometers daily across steep stone steps and rugged high-altitude singletracks.
Review Metrics
Every application receives individual consideration. Final acceptance is granted based on strict philosophical alignment with the Academy's research mandate rather than booking volume.
